Hempkwaaba to the
Industrial Hemp Revolution in
Ghana.

Message from the CEO

The industrial hemp sector, a vital subcomponent of the cannabis economy, was initiated with the passage of the Narcotics Control Commission Act, 2000 (Act 1019). This milestone has opened up exciting opportunities for businesses to contribute to national development. Hempire Agric Ghana Ltd is pleased to announce that the Legislative Instrument to regulate industrial hemp cultivation was finally published in 2024. However, the approval of fees and charges remains pending with the Legal and Constitutional Committee of Parliament.

The proposed fees have already been submitted for consideration, but the process has been delayed due to the ongoing General Election, scheduled for December 7th 2024. Despite these delays, the industrial hemp industry is poised for growth and is here to stay. Regardless of the outcome of the General Election, the cannabis industry is expected to take off in earnest by 2025, providing immense opportunities for economic transformation.

At Hempire Agric Ghana Ltd, we uphold professionalism, ethics, and cutting-edge scientific methods in all our operations. We invite you to partner with us and join HAG’s promising journey toward economic advancement.
